Our Accommodation

Our rooms are basic and clean. The lack of luxury is more than made up for by the genuine village experience, fresh air, warm hospitality and a great night's sleep. Facilities include shared bathroom, terrace and sitting room.

We have car parking and can also, by request, arrange your transport to and from Sarajevo.

The natural beauty of Umoljani and its surroundings are the most striking in the area. The remnants of ancient settlers can be found scattered around the village, with many medieval tombstones perched on high ridges. Then there is the nearby valley of Studeno Polje, a magical flower-filled place tucked behind the summer shepherd village of Gradina. We can arrange walking or cycling tours for the chance to explore this stunning location. We can also offer fishing trips and insightful cultural experiences to enhance your holiday.

Folklore and Traditions
Emin together with his Folklore Group are keeping the precious customs and traditions of these highland communities alive. They have performed at many different festivals all over Europe.

The traditional way of life in the highland villages can be harsh and understandably the younger generations often leave the villages for the economic opportunities of the city. Your choice to visit traditional mountain huts as part of your travels provides these communities with alternative and sustainable income though your eco-tourism and ultimately means they remain in their ancient homeland, keeping customs, traditions, and folklore alive and well.
