Umoljani Village Hut is a small, privately owned place with wooden roof shingles, on the way to the summer village of Gradina.
Emin, your host, is a very interesting person. He was born and raised in the village of Umoljani. Emin has bas been one of the weatherman on Bjelasnica, the oldest weather station in South East Europe. The weather station was built at the end of 19th century by the Austro-Hungarian Government.
Emin has been running this small hut for the last 4 years, trying to preserve the local culture and customs. He is also the founder of the Local Folklore Society, which keeps alive the traditional songs and dances of this region. He is also actively involved in protecting the wild and pristine Rakitnica Canyon, just a short distance from the village.
